TANYA PRISKE

For the last twenty years Tanya Priske has been on a mission to ensure the CWB brings support, value, and representation to women entrepreneurs. As the Executive Director, she has a deep understanding of how things work in the business ecosystem – power dynamics, key players, partners, and opportunities – and together with her team, plugs women entrepreneurs into that ecosystem, helping them to navigate it and utilize it most effectively. Her strengths have garnered her recognition nation-wide. In 2015, Diversity Canada Magazine named Tanya in its Top 10 list of Canadian women who have taken the lead in advancing the status of women, Aboriginal and First Nations communities, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community. In 2022, Tanya accepted the inaugural CWE Gala award for Empowering Women in Business. Prior to working at the CWB, Tanya coordinated a federal-provincial funding agreement that concentrated on diversifying Nova Scotia’s economy.
